Business Hub goes to Marketing Maestros
Almost a year has gone by and the Inspiring Entrepreneurs event at the British Library came around again this week. Emma Selby from Business Hubs invited me along, which I was really pleased about as last year was great. This year wasn't a disappointment and we saw a panel made up of Patrick Drake co-Founder of Hello Fresh, Jessica Seaton co-Founder of TOAST and Siddarth Vijayakumar, co-Founder of Grub Club.
The theme this year was Marketing Maestros and the panel shared their origin stories, their present brand positions and some 'future thoughts' giving tips and guidance as to their ideas on marketing. It is interesting how so many big name brands and emerging identities started on little money and that the real fuel to their success has been the drive, passion and commitment invested by the founders and their surrounding people. It's also brilliant to see a slightly 'bonkers mentality' and vision to 'buck the trend' be a recurring ingredient in the recipe of success.
I cannot recommend these events highly enough and if you are part of the Hub or looking to join I hope Emma gets a bigger group to go along next year.
For my part I documented our trip again to give you a flavour. Our other partners in crime were Jo McGowan from the Guildford Hub and Alyson Reay from Sassy Social Marketing; these photos start with the rendezvous under the Waterloo Clock and run through the evening culminating with an unexpected meet up with Barney Whiter on the train home!I did rather snuck up on them!
