LinkedIN Local Farnham for Real!

LinkedIN Local Farnham 13th July 2021 - First real life meet up since Feb 2020!

Wow, the last time I photographed a LinkedIN Local Farnham event was February 2020 at The Lost Boy in Downing Street. Now on the 13th July 2021 with Covid restrictions relaxed and close to being largely lifted, 21 LinkedIN Local Members returned to The Lost Boy for a face to face social meet in the garden.

In some ways a little surreal. Meeting people in the flesh for the first time having only ever known them as head and shoulders on Zoom made for moments like, “Hold on, I do know you, don’t I? Who are you? OMG, yes it’s you!”

For me arming myself and being weapon ready was honestly a great feeling. Sliding around a people event, ducking and diving for the shots and grabbing groups for the ‘grin at camera’ snaps felt like we are heading back to normal.

It was obvious that so many really enjoyed meeting up and it was hoped that this was the start of regular events. As always thanks goes to Russ Avery and Tim Brown of Avery & Brown for founding the group and keeping it running through Covid on Zoom, meaning it’s alive and kicking for the real world.
