Frensham Ponds is beloved by locals, visitors and the film industry! Walkers, dogs, horseriders and nature lovers adore the heathland and woodland landscape surrounding the two fabulous ponds. Frensham Great Pond has become well known for its ‘secret’ beach and iconic sailing boats, whilst Frensham Little Pond has become a favourite with location scouts and has featured in a number of big budget TV & movies such as: Snow White and the Huntsman, The Witcher, The Mummy, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The 10th Kingdom and Doctor Who. Up the road of course, we also have the Bourne Woods and Hankley Common, also regular filming locations.

Frensham Ponds are man made having been constructed to supply fish to the Bishops of Winchester residing at Farnham Castle, but are now owned by the National Trust with Frensham Great Pond managed by Waverley Borough Council and Frensham Little Pond by the NT itself.

A few years ago I was on a commercial shoot and I created this image using a 50’ telescopic pole. The image you see is made up of seven photos stitched together and it looks pretty good on a canvas! It’s a popular photo so if you fancy a copy there are three size options to choose from.
