Fit Fur Life - Dog Treadmill Product Photoshoot

Quite a bit has been happening recently but an interesting job came in the other day, one with a little bit of difference for the studio.  This was a combination of product photography with dogs.

Fit Fur Life, owned and run by Sammy French is a company designing and making dog treadmills, which are used around the world by: veterinary surgeons in clinics, referral centres and Universities, canine professionals and businesses working with dogs as well as domestic dog owners for canine rehabilitation and exercise including training for dogs of any breed.

The treadmills are purpose made as opposed to being adapted from human treadmills and I discovered that Sammy appeared on Dragon's Den, successfully pitching her product and business plan with James Caan investing.

The commission with me entailed photographing a brand new treadmill, so as to produce photos for the new product launch and the brochure.  Sammy had clear ideas as to how she wanted the images to look so we worked towards developing four photos using two extremely well behaved and fantastic dogs. They also loved the treadmill!

Essentially Sammy needed the photos to follow a style already used with earlier products, so we headed to the white background.  After some testing our models joined us and we began shooting. Lucy who works with Sammy stood in to be our human model, although she was to be 'incognito', it was her should we wanted!

The shoot took up most of the day and didn't really meet any glitches, except the software needed updating, which involved the US based software company linking with us over Skype, so as to bring the 'ones and zeros' up to speed.I am grateful to my photographer friend Sarah Farr (who made the client introduction) for spending the day with us to assist.

There was quite a lot to pay attention to so the extra hands and eyes were brilliant.
